Just Starting A New Work From Home Business!

This blog is to document the new business I started called AngelwealthRX. This business makes money by handing out MedicationCard prescription discount cards to help people afford their medications. In return for our efforts we get paid $1.50 every time someone fills a commissionable prescription with it.

So I and my wife have decided to give it a try, just to see what happens. The initial investment in this venture was $100.00. For this amount I received a website, 5000 custom printed cards, 20 plastic displays and a link to training materials through a back-office agent site. Not a bad deal if you consider some online companies charge this for an e-book. If I can just break even I'll be able to chalk it up as just another learning experience. Believe me I've had my share of those, some good, some bad.

Now I've received my startup kit and I'm ready to get started passing out these cards to the world! God knows in this economy there must be thousands upon thousands of people who need them or knows someone who does. And it even gives discounts on pet prescriptions too; this has got to be a winner. But before I sell someone else on this discount idea, I have to make sure its claims of a real discount are legitimate. Since I am already on three blood pressure medications that I take daily it will not be hard to test this card. I've been using a mail-in program with my insurance provider which usually charges me $142.34 for a three month supply, so I can get a good idea of what the card discount would be, if any.

So I made my three month visit to my doctor to get the vitals and medications checked, walking out with my prescriptions ready for the pharmacist to fill. Since the mail order company would not accept this card, I tried the local grocery store pharmacy. I drove up to the pharmacy window and handed the scripts to the pharmacist along with my new MedicationCard. And to my amazement, the pharmacist told me my three prescriptions totaled $42.97! I was so startled, I had to ask, "Is that for the three month supply?" "Yes, that's for three months, ninety, ninety and one hundred and eighty" he said.
